Gujarat Govt Approves ₹4,179 Cr for Urban Development in 19 Cities Breakthrough

Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel has approved ₹4,179 crore for urban development projects across seven municipal corporations and 12 municipalities under the Urban Development Year, 2025 initiative. The funding will support infrastructure upgrades in Ahmedabad, Vadodara, Rajkot, Gandhinagar, and newly formed municipal corporations. Other municipalities will also benefit. The funding also includes ₹219 crore for roads and Gaurav Paths, and ₹93 crore for water supply and stormwater drainage. Water supply augmentation projects will ensure 24×7 supply in urban pockets by integrating advanced water metering and leak detection technologies.
